A bunch of "firsts"

My first haircut
Before...
You may have to look close, but his hair looks like baby Einstein!
After...
he actually did good until the end...this was the end!
Don't worry, I didn't hold him like this while I cut his hair, that was just for the picture.

My First Swim!

He Loved the water

My first roll over!

He only did it once, so I think it was a fluke, but it was really exciting!

My first playdate!

This is Jax's friend Joshua. Joshua is 7 months old and it was so funny because everytime he made a squel or some noise, then Jax would get scared and start screaming! We have a ways to go with making friends!

I've been tagged to answer the following:

Ten years ago: I was finishing my 6th grade year of school at Horse Heaven Hills Middle School where I would have recently received my first "little" kiss from my long term boyfriend of about 1 month. I also would have been sporting nice baggy jeans, bangs, and a chubby little face (I didn't get skinnier until 7th grade).

On my to do list
Long Term: Have more kids and raise a happy little family. Get Brandon a good job as a firefighter that he enjoys (but I guess I can't really do that). Figure out where we're going to live and settle down. Become more artistic and crafty so I feel like I am talented and handy. Also, get my soccer skills back so I can pass them on to my kids!

Everyday Goals: Figure out what we want to do about a house...build, buy, or wait...and do it!? Get my prepregnancy body back and fit into all of my old clothes. Organize the downstairs and clean the bathroom...it's a goal of mine everyday, but it can just never seem to happen.

5 Places I have lived: Kennewick, WA; Orem and Provo, UT; and since I haven't lived 5 places add for Brandon: Memphis and Germantown, TN; Huntington Beach, CA; and Rochester, Michigan.

5 Jobs I have had: Concession stands at softball fields and a public pool, Basketball referee for little kids, Cashier at Good Earth Natural Foods (health food store), Coach at soccer camps, sales rep at the Gym (Club 24).

If I became a Billionaire: I would travel the world. But until then, I would probably get a facelift, a boob job, liposuction, a butt implant and several plastic surgeries on my face...j/k, but I would go on a heck of a shopping spree (and I would consider the boob job). Also, I would donate money to help those in need, especially children. I would donate to organizations/charity, but mostly by randomly helping strangers get on their feet, it's more fun that way.

Bad Habits: Road rage...I can't control myself, I try, but I really can't...I hate stupid drivers and I can't stand when people go under the speed limit; Lack of picking my clothes up and cleaning the bathroom.

Things I enjoy: Working out, playing sports-especially soccer, being a mommy, being with Brandon, laughing, playing board games, cooking, reading, and not going to school-however I don't know what that is exactly like yet. I also enjoy snowboarding, going to the beach, being with family, having long talks about pointless interesting things, and eating, in general, but mostly sweets (ice cream, chocolate, and cookies).

Things People Don't Know About Me: I hate to cry in front of people, I don't like scary movies because I'm a wuss, I still sleep with my baby blanket, I'm terrified of failure, and I hate to be by myself (unless I'm crying)!

People I'm tagging: Chelsea and Siera: if you want to and get time to, don't feel obligated if you don't want to though!

I Am 3 Months Old!!

All Smiles!
Wow, I can't believe that I am already 3 months old. Here's a little about me...I am getting so big! I love to talk, coo, and laugh and my mommy and daddy just can't get enough of me and my dimples! I am too cute (at least that's what they tell me)! But, I just discovered my hands a few weeks ago and how tasty they are, I would suck on them all day if I could but it's so much work getting them up there. I'm also starting to like a few of my toys, I think they're pretty funny. Bath times are great too, but I hate to get out and have to get dressed. Also, I am very active and fidgety, and am hardly ever still, so I keep my mommy busy, but she's really starting to understand what I want so I don't cry as much! To say the least, I am so big and life is going great!

Happy Easter

Baby's 1st Easter! Jaxson was worn out from a

long day at church. He looked absolutely adorable

in his new Easter outfit though-looks just like his daddy!

Baby Blessing

Well even though the blessing was a month ago, I wanted to post pics of Jaxson's blessing day. Here we are as a family before we went to church. The blessing was so amazing, Brandon did a wonderful job. We are so lucky to have the gospel in our lives!

Here is Jax with two of his favorite cousins, Brody and Ashtyn! They came to visit from California for the blessing, what great friends they are!

Life with a baby

So, it's been almost 3 months since we had our baby and our lives were changed forever. Since my pregnancy was absolutely wonderful and my labor and delivery were good too, I was just waiting for something to go wrong because it was all too good to be true. Well, it all happened when we brought the baby home ...Right now things are going great, but we must admit that we definitely had some bumps in the road to get here. Jaxson was born the day after Christmas and it wasn't until a week later that things became hard. He was readmitted into the hospital for jaundice and had to be supplemented with formula. Ever since then, he hasn't been able to solely nurse so he still does both at each feeding. Then we learned what an amazing scream he had as he liked to willingly share it with us all day, everyday for about 8 weeks. On top of that, Alyssa was having a hard time adapting to staying at home all day by herself with the baby and she was on medicine (to help her milk increase) that we later found out was the cause of really bad anxiety that was only making things worse. In addition to all of that, Jaxson is a pro at spitting up (making us do lots of laundry) and he doesn't ever poop (it took weeks experimenting with 4 different formulas before he started to get the hang of it). Lastly, he hasn't really learned how to enjoy sleeping during the day and doesn't like to be put down much (but he's getting better)... But fast forward through all of that (and just a little more) and we're here with an 12 week old baby boy whose smile melts your heart and laughing takes your breath away. Even through all of the hardships, he truly is the joy of our lives and makes everything worth it in the end!
